The all important 24ths, and medical test dates:
  • May 24th- first symptom- headache in Florence
  • June 24th- MRI reveals tumors
  • July 24th- "Crack the Egg" day- crainiotomy planned at UCSF with Dr. Michael McDermott
  • August 24th- Marc and Erin's wedding in Toronto- I'll be there.
  • September 24th- adventure racing again? No. Will I try to get in shape again before chemo starts? Yep.
  • October 24th- bio-chemo postponed while the brain is sorted out. Anyone that has suggested that I wasn't right in the head is proved correct again.
  • November 24th- close to Thanksgiving. Hopefully eating, drinking, and being merry.
  • December 24th- Christmas eve. Back in my hometown of Durham NH.

Nov 1- Meeting to get WBRT mask fabricated Oct 29 - GammaKnife: 8 lesions!
Oct 14 - new MRI finds instability in the brain
~September: Meetings with the Melanoma Clinic at UCSF, and Dr. Minor at CPMC
Aug 24th- Marc's & Erin's wedding in Toronto- gotta make a speech
Aug 20th- GammaKnife stereotactic radio therapy
Aug 19th- meeting doctors preparing for radiotherapy
Aug 12th- meeting with melanoma clinic at UCSF
Aug 6th- the staples come out
Aug 3rd- Finally got PET scan report- positive finding in the lung
Jul 29th- re-discharged with an anti-biotic presciption and feeling much better
Jul 27th- Day 3- body revolts- re-admitted to medical system
Jul 26th- Post-Op MRI and discharge.
July 24th- Crainiotomy.
July 22nd- admitted to UCSF for CT scan to determine if seizure induced bleeding.
July 21nd- Seizure while driving
July 17th- PET scan- no report yet.
June 28th- CT scan at Kaiser- possible "blip" in left lung- needs corroboration (from PET scan)
June 27th- Bone scan at Kaiser- clean (although sprained ankle does show up)
June 24th- blood work clean.
June 24th (presented MRI findings
June 23rd (reported on 24th)- MRI of head- reveals 1 large tumor and 3+ small lesions elsewhere in the brain.
